Keep them simple and Fun!
-Pick earthy tones (tan, brown, olive green, etc) for colors. The costumes will get dirty! Avoid bright & neon colors. Basic stripes are ok.
-Think simple for your fabrics!
– Use fabric markers & paint to create patterns or borders on the edge of the tunic to add individual touches.
-A basic costume is a two-sided tunic with a triangle neck cut out.
-Bring two pairs of durable shoes. NO FLIP FLOPS.
– A head covering is optional!
-For belts, you can use a piece of twine, braided rope, etc.
*Every participant should have at least one costume to wear during youth conference.
*Every costume should have a t-shirt and pair of knee length shorts, pants or leggings underneath.
*Costumes must be worn all the time.
*Costumes should be durable & easy to put on and inexpensive.
